Our renewable energy experts Sergi Bosque and Robin Sharma will be showcasing our latest innovations in renewable energy monitoring and management at Renewable Energy India Expo 2024, in Greater Noida, from October 3-5, and also at WETEX & Dubai Solar Show, in Dubai from October 1-3.
Meet the team
Sergi Bosque, Regional Manager IMEA
Robin Sharma, Country Manager India & BD Manager IMEA
Highlights of the event
GPM Hybrid Power Plant Controller (HPPC)
Explore GPM Hybrid PPC, the latest addition to GPM on-site solutions designed to address the increased complexity of hybrid power plants, which produce power from multiple centrally controlled sources like Photovoltaic (PV) or battery energy storage systems (BESS). The Hybrid PPC architecture accounts with GPM’s Power Plant Controller (PPC) software service, ensuring grid compliance at the Point of Interconnection (POI) and managing active power by distributing it between the PV plant and BESS. Renewable Energy India Expo 2023 Take aways
The highlights:
- India is the third-largest emitter of greenhouse gases (GHG) in the world, has some of the most polluted cities in the world, and is currently facing challenges due to its heavy reliance on coal; however, the green energy transition offers an opportunity to address all of these issues at once.
- Initiatives such as “Net Zero Targets”, “Make in India” and “Mission 500GW” is giving a boost to the Solar, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and Wind markets and due to these initiatives, 2030 can be seen as the first significant milestone.
- India has recently released several “Round-the-Clock (RTC)” tenders for renewable firming and gris stability. This entails the need for Owners, Developers and EPCs to rely on Energy Management Systems (EMS), supplier and system integrators to succeed with the implementation of complex control philosophies.
- GPM has already provided EMS solutions into the Indian market and we are ready to play a key role in achieving these ambitious targets.
WETEX & Dubai Solar Show 2023 Take aways
The highlights:
- When it comes to the advancement of renewable energy, especially photovoltaic solar power (PV), the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have led the way and set the standard for other MENA countries to follow. The world’s most ambitious and iconic single-site solar park, Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park, is located in Dubai. By 2030, it is projected to have an installed capacity of 5,000MW which is to be constructed in six phases. GW-scale solar PV projects in Abu Dhabi, including the ongoing 1.1GWp Noor-Sweihan, 2.1GWp Al Dhafra, and 1.8GWp Al Ajban, are being promoted by EWEC.
- A dependable, sturdy, long-lasting, and high-performance control and monitoring system with predictive, preventive, and corrective operation and maintenance capabilities will be needed for such projects. In order to guarantee that the financial and economic KPIs either meet or exceed expectations, the site must be optimized over the course of the project by lowering OPEX costs and increasing production.
- At GPM, we support our customers and partners in connecting their solar PV, BESS, and wind projects successfully. We also ensure Grid Code compliance and the implementation of complex control philosophies. Finally, we provide the supply and onsite commissioning of our GPM SCADA, and most importantly, our GPM PowerPlantController (PPC).
