GreenPowerMonitor, a DNV Company, took part in the 38th European PV Solar Energy Conference and Exhibition, the world’s largest specialist PV Solar conference.
Last month, Luis Gerardo Guerra along with Pau Mercadé, Senior Researchers at DNV presented ”A Machine Learning-Aided Underperformance Assessment of Solar Plants” and “The Challenges of Predictive Maintenance“.
Both researchers received the award to the best poster from the session“5CV.2: Operation, Performance and Maintenance of PV Systems”, in which more than 49 other posters were taking part.
“This award represents recognition of the level of research we do within the company and demonstrates that data-driven solutions are gaining more and more traction in the industry” Luis Gerardo Guerra, Senior Researcher at GreenPowerMonitor, a DNV Company.
The case study presented shows that the procedure can detect periods of underperformance, quantifying the amount of energy not produced and identifying the signals that have the greatest weight in the drop in performance so that an expert is able to identify the physical cause behind the drop in performance.
The Programme for EU PVSEC 2021 was held online and offered a carefully crafted programme of almost 900 top-level international presentations giving participants in-depth insights into the latest research in the PV solar energy sector.
