mount signal (July 2013). GreenPowerMonitor will manufacture one of the largest projects of its history and this will be an important step in its internationalization, especially in the U.S. market, as a SCADA systems Specialist.

Thanks to its professional success, GreenPowerMonitor has become the independent leader in Management, Monitoring and Control of PV with 1.5GW globally monitored. The good work of GreenPowerMonitor has not gone unnoticed in the U.S. where the company will manage a portfolio of 350MW. Therefore, GPM has been commissioned to manage and monitor Mount Signal Solar Farm, one of the largest facilities in the world.

Mount Signal Solar Farm is one of the most ambitious projects of AES Solar, built by  Abeinsa EPC, who gave all authority to GreenPowerMonitor to perform all Management, Control and Monitoring  266MW of Mount Signal Solar Farm, through GPM solutions GPM PV+  and PV SCADA and also GPM Power Plant Control and  GPM SmarBridge.

GPM’s work will take place in several stages. Currently, they are launching five subsites (total 100MW) of the 11 subsites that are expected to be operational during the month of October.

This solar farm is built on 785 acres of farmland into disuse by low productivity and is located in Imperial Valley, in the desert of California.

Mount Signal Solar Farm is the first of three phases of a larger project of 800MW, which will become an important part of one of the biggest PV projects in the world.
