GreenPowerMonitor starts 2017 with a new project in South America. This PV plant is located in Salto, north of Uruguay and it will be managed by GPM PV Portal, a customizable web portal for monitoring and viewing facilities.
With installed power of 64.8 MWp, this is the first large-scale solar plant in Uruguay and one of the largest photovoltaic plants of Latin America. It covers the electricity needs of approximately 35,000 homes in the area.
Furthermore, it is estimated that its commissioning will reduce CO2 emissions by more than 74 thousand tons/year. This is obviously a great milestone and a new step to a cleaner and sustainable environment.
Currently, the GreenPowerMonitor manages 800MW of its 6GW in LATAM and thanks to this new project almost the company will manage the 80% of solar plants in Uruguay.
