Started from the Chilean Ministry of Energy initiative, the Public Solar Roof Program (PTSP) installs directly PV systems on the public roof tops buildings to encourage self-consumption market.
Through this initiative, the PSTSP has recently won the acquisition, installation and establishment of a 100kWp PV plant in the Gabriela Mistral Cultural Center. This will be managed thanks to GPM PV Portal solution, and will become essential in order to control the energy production and to know current status.
The project will generate 10% of the consumed electricity and reduce the carbon footprint by approximately 40 ton CO2eq/year and it will save 8 million chilean pesos a year (10.491,84 euros Euros).
This new self-consumption installation was recently inaugurated by the Minister of Energy, Máximo Pacheco, the Minister of Culture, Ernesto Ottone and Felipe Mella, Director of the Cultural Center.
